Civil Service Bowling Club (Chatham)

For New Members

Information for new members

As a new member you will be provided with a fact sheet about the club and general information about playing bowls; we also try to arrange a welcome meeting for new members every year.

From the 2024 season, the cost of annual full (bowls) membership is £80 and for anyone under the age of 18 it will be £20. For social membership (i.e. you don’t wish to bowl), the annual fee is £20.
Social members enjoy the same benefits as full members without the bowling, but must also become members of the CSSC (see below).
Where there is a waiting list for full membership of CSBC, priority will be given to any social members who wish to upgrade to full membership.
Note that should you join after June, the fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Membership of the Civil Service Bowling Club (Chatham) (CSBC) must also be members of the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC). Members do not have to be or have been a civil servant to join the CSSC – the club just has to maintain a certain percentage of civil servants and public sector workers or ex-workers.

The New Member’s Officer and Club Secretary can provide details of this and advice on which form to complete in order to apply for membership.

The New Members Officer is Brian Gunns – 01634 234743

The Honorary Club Secretary is Michael Link – 01634 373396
